How To Turn On/Off HUD Elements In Tales Of Arise
To begin, let me state that you will need to install a mod to accomplish this goal. The URL to this mod may be found further down in this tutorial. This tutorial covers the whole process of what you need to accomplish with the mod, from beginning to finish. Take a look at the steps listed below.
How To Put The Mod In
Open the folder and extract the files to Tales of AriseAriseBinariesWin64 after downloading the mod (where the .exe is). To turn on or off the HUD, use the Insert key once within the game. If you wish to modify the key bindings, just enter d3dx.ini and locate this line, then change it to the desired key. Simply ensure that it is in the Microsoft virtual key code format. [Key1] VK INSERT is the key.
Uninstall Instructions:
Either manually delete the mod files or use the uninstall.bat file to do so. Nexus Mods has a link to download the mod: Nexus Mods
How to Personalize
Almost all HUD components are disabled by default in this patch. If you wish to control which HUD components are impacted by the toggle switch, you may do so by editing the ShaderFixes folder and adding or deleting shader fix files. Each shader patch is a _replace.txt file with a corresponding.jpg image (without the ps/vs replace). By highlighting that specific piece in pink, the.jpg will indicate which portion of the UI that particular shader fix.txt affects. For instance, if you just wanted to toggle the health bar, you’d have to:
- Make your way to the ShaderFixes folder.
- Delete any.jpg images that don’t have a portion of the health bar highlighted and their accompanying _replace.txt files (you don’t have to remove the.jpgs themselves).
If you didn’t want the toggle to impact the health bar, you’d have to do the following:
- Make your way to the ShaderFixes folder.
- Delete the _replace.txt files connected with the.jpg images that have portion of the health bar highlighted (you don’t need to remove the.jpgs themselves).
In the first instance, you’ll be left with _replace.txt files that only impact the health bar and are influenced by the toggle switch, while in the second case, you’ll be left with _replace.txt files that don’t affect the health bar but are affected by the toggle switch on other UI components.
