Turn Off USB Selective Suspending Setting on Windows 10/11 PC

USB selective suspend setting is a feature that allows your computer to enter a low power state when the device connected to it goes into a sleep or hibernation state. It can save battery life by putting devices like mice, keyboards, and external hard drives in a lower-power state when they are not in use.

The usb selective suspend setting windows 10 on or off is a setting that allows for USB devices to be suspended when the computer goes into sleep mode. This can cause issues with certain peripherals not working properly and it’s recommended to turn this off if you’re experiencing problems.

RECOMMENDED: To securely repair common Windows problems and automatically improve system performance, use this application.

External devices may help your Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC do more tasks. Your laptop computer is already a powerful instrument that provides you with all you need for work.

However, you may incorporate additional interesting features into your Windows 10/11 PC without altering your device. You just need to connect an external device.

However, utilizing external devices depletes your computer’s battery. While they are very useful, they may quickly drain your battery. When not in use, the USB Selective Suspending Setting mechanism on your Windows 10 PC allows you to deactivate the particular port of the external device. You may cut off the power stream to idle ports without impacting others by simply suspending a single port.

On your Windows 10/11 PC, the USB Selective Suspending Setting helps you save battery life. Even when certain ports are turned off, they use battery power. Its usage will be reduced to a minimum if it is temporarily disabled.
