The advancements over the years of television quality and the chance to pause and rewind mean we dont need to miss a thing any more. Within seconds the “did you just see that?” moments can be checked, shared and laughed at with friends as well as people all over the world.
Here are some of the NFL’s funniest freeze frames from over the years.
-
Kyle Full(er) Moon
You have to feel for the cornerback in this one, as he’s trying to make a big play for his side against the Philadelphia Eagles. He was tackled and his pants ended up on the ground along with the ball as he went down with the cameras taking in a perfect “moon shot” for the world to see.
-
Official Chaos
During a Washington Commanders game, before they became the Commanders, there is a classic shot of two refs on the sideline in front of the Washington bench, both pointing for a foul in favor of the opposite teams. You’d think a quick huddle and chat before awarding the call would be a good idea, but the NFL does things its own way more often than not.

Jay Cutler’s Bad Visuals
So often, Jay Cutler has had unflattering freeze frames for such a good-looking man. He has been caught so often during his playing days lifting up his helmet to look confused and hilarious, which often makes us mere mortals feel a bit better when we look in the mirror.
-
Fletcher Cox
One official got a little too familiar with Fletcher Cox when inadvertently putting his hand out for a high five but Fletcher hadn’t seen his hand which ended up with a tap on a much more sensitive area than the palm of his hand.
Luckily it seems the oficial had been looking straight ahead and appeared to not quite realsie where his hand was going!

Fans Getting Involved
We all can get uncontrollably excited on gameday cant we? The excitement of the game, maybe it’s our first trip to an NFL stadium, but somehow we have to keep it all together. On a Minnesota Vikings game day one fan did not. As the camera pans across the sidelines, a fan in the front row seemed like nothing was going to stop him missing a moment of the action, even a much needed bathroom break.
-
Casual Nick Foles
A rivalry game is always feisty and exhilarating. In the AFC East, a matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders is often ready to boil over, but some players take it all in their stride. Step up, Nick Foles. The former quarterback has a lovely image of himself sitting on a Commander’s defender like he’s a log around a campfire with other defenders looking on at what Foles is watching, too.
-
Novak Caught Short
As an NFL player, you can be called upon at any moment, and you must be ready. There’s no chance to pop off back to the changing room for a quick toilet break, as San Diego Chargers kicker Nick Novak found out.
With the Chargers closing in on field goal range, Novak needed a staff member to hide his modesty with a Gatorade towel while relieving himself on the sidelines before going in to make his kick.

Aaron Rodgers Suprise
When back in Green Bay, one of the greats at quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, gave us one of the most hilarious freeze frames ever captured on camera. Back in 2021, the quarterback is knocked down by an opposing defenseman, and as he hits the turf, his helmet pops up slightly for us to see his bulging eyes and shocked expression like “Where did that come from!”
There are even more eyes on the league than there ever has been and these are just some of a long list of hilarious freeze frames captured for our enjoyment. Who knows who will be the next viral star of the NFL for their fortunate, or likely unfortunate moment.
